About Zul Sutan
Zul first started his music career at Pebbles Bar in Singapura Hotel circa 1977, as the leader of his band, Tania. Since then, he’s garnered not just a local following, but a global one. His many fans from around the world seek out where he’s playing whenever they grace our shores. Today, Zul is recognised as an industry legend, and continues to entertain many at private events and celebrations.
Formed in the 1970s, Heritage is one of the most respected bands in the Singapore music scene of its time. Often experimental in spirit, this eclectic unit is influenced by diverse eastern and western musical styles. A relentlessly hardworking band, their career has seen them holding resident spots at pubs all over Singapore and performing on mainstream stages like Victoria Theatre and Esplanade, where they recorded and released as a live album in 2012, one of the several albums they have released over their musical journey. To acknowledge and recognise their contributions to the local music industry with their unconventional brand of rock music, COMPASS presented them with Artistic Excellence Award in 2007. Making a much-awaited comeback from a long hiatus, remaining members Ashley, Robert and Sadeq are working with various session musicians to bring their music back on stage again.
