26 May 2018, 8:30 PM - 11:30 PM
The cult following of Pink Floyd’s music continues to exist, in fact one might say grow globally. The music rich in tones and melody crafted by the genius of the four 1960s engineering students still has a draw on Old and new generations of music fans around the world, proven by the multitude of big budget tribute bands from Europe and Australia that continue draw crowds in their thousands. We here in Singapore, despite being a minow of the global music scene has its own Pink Floyd Tribute Band, ‘Welcome To The Machine’.
Despite the relatively smaller, yet growing crowds of singapore and south east Asia, and despite a budget that only pays for rehearsal in their studio, this six piece band is no less authentic and no less serious about the replication and delivery of Pink Floyd’s music.
Focusing predominantly on the years post original front man Syd Barret, the Band delivers cult favourites from a rich music catalogue but also the classics such as Another Brick The Wall, Comfortably Numb, Money, Wish You Were Here, Time, and even the 20min cult piece that is Echoes, complete with its middle section - an ambient sound scape that takes the listener on a eerie dynamic ride thanks to the skill of these 6 musicians.
It’s rumoured the band is developing a full production of the Pink Floyd’s recording breaking Dark Side Of The Moon album, omplete with visuals, lasers and a suite of musicians, but no dates or venue has been released as yet.
Catch them at the The Red Noodle Bottle and Bar this Saturday the 26th as they play an epic 3 set show.
Show starts at 830, doors open at 630.
