JAPAN RAIL CAFE brings Autumn to the Urban Park this October!
Urban Park Transforms into a “Japanese Train” with Music, Food and Movie Screenings
Event theme: “Autumn in the Train”
Period: 11-14 Oct, 11am to 10pm
Venue: Tanjong Pagar Centre L1 Urban Park
In Japan, 14th October is known to the Train Maniacs as “The Railway Day” (Tetsudou-no-hi). To celebrate the day, JAPAN RAIL CAFE, a travel-themed cafe under railway operator East Japan Railway Company will unfold the train-themed event “Autumn in the Train” at Tanjong Pagar Centre to celebrate the special day! Featuring Japan’s popular experience-themed trains such as “JOYFUL TRAIN SERIES”, the event showcases some of the contents one can enjoy inside selected special trains during the Autumn season. Suitable for the working crowd and families, the event will transform the train-like space at the Urban Park with Japanese food, activities and special merchandises relating to Autumn and rail!

On cinemas in October but you can catch it for free only at this event! A Singapore-Japanese drama film that tells the story of a Chinese-Singaporean chef going on a food journey discovering the art of traditional Okinawan cuisine and meeting his new love. It won the Audience Choice Award for Best Narrative Feature Film at the 2017 Hawaii International Film Festival.
