Atomic Milkmen was formed with the purpose of subbing for a prominent local band at their usual watering hole. After a less-than-perfect outing, however, the band comprising Sam Driscoll, Shak'thiya and Winston Koh are seeking a second shot at serving the music. They promise to redeem themselves with a night of blues, comedy, soul and hip hop.
About Atomic Milkmen
Shak'thiya goes by the stage name of Shak. This spoken-word poetry artist turned singer-songwriter chronicles his life story through his self-penned folk tunes and lyrics. Inspired by soul, blues, folk-pop and hip hop, Shak’s rich, soulful voice conveys lyrics that tugs at the deepest recesses of your heart. Shak has performed on both local and international stages like Fringe Manila (2018), Singapore Night Festivals (2016, 2017) and Singapore River Festival (2017). Shak is also one of the featured artists in this year's National Day theme song We Are Singapore.
Sam Driscoll is a singer/songwriter who first found internet fame on YouTube talking about Singaporean culture. He slowly moved from comedy to music, recording covers on YouTube and dabbling in writing original material. Sam was selected as a finalist in the NAC Noise Singapore Music Mentorship Programme (2014). Sam's first single So Tired is now out on iTunes, and he will be releasing his debut album Call It A Day in 2019.
Winston Koh is part of alternative folk band stillsunrise. He believes in the power of music as a storytelling medium. Winston spends his time away from the band composing music for films and writing poetry.
