Adia Tay 'Kintsugi' EP Launch
25 Apr 2019, 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM
Folk & Singer / Songwriter
Adia Tay is a Singaporean chanteuse who will whisk you away on a cinematic adventure of love, loss and hope. Her songs promise to intertwine with your innermost stories, and after every twist, turn, and soft fade, deposit you safely in the tavern of your soul. Her debut six-track EP, "Kintsugi” is an ode to brokenness, and the wizening and renewal of the heart.
Join Adia for a cinematic night of music and classic folk storytelling that will both charm and console you. Get ready to vibe along to heartfelt, flowy music, and then move awkwardly when the songs start to get a little groovier (yes, it’s a standing concert). There is a kitchen in the venue where someone might spontaneously chop onions. Bring tissues. Bring your heart. If you can’t find that, bring the empty casing that is you.
The night will be opened by singer-songwriter and poet Vivien Yap, and features Adia’s stalwart line-up of musicians, including: Ting Wei Yap (Drums), John Paul Kwan (Bass), Ridhwan Malik (Electric guitar). Other members of the line-up consists of amazing musicians like Kyla T (Keys, Vocals) and Vick Low (Cello), and will also feature guest star Paul Danial, Adia’s beloved mentor and a well-respected veteran in the local music scene.
Limited merchandise will also be available at Adia's EP launch at a discounted price. Make sure you get your hands on the merch of the evening by reserving yours online with your tickets. Apart from the ‘Kintsugi’ Thumbdrive EP (U.P $15) and ‘Close Enough’ Book (U.P $25), other surprise(!) items will also be available during the show.
Doors open at 7pm.
Terms & Conditions
If you don’t have a ticket and are not on the guest list, you don’t get to come in, sorry. Best option in that case is to buy a ladder and listen through the window, as the venue is on the second floor, which is pretty cumbersome, so just buy a ticket.
Please keep your cats and infants at home. They’ll either steal all of the band's attention or create too much noise, or both.
