Come discover and rediscover French Operas this Mother's day weekend!
A nice little treat awaits all mothers at the end of the evening.
With simplicity, enthusiasm, and with a few little surprises, Soprano Sérine de Labaume and Pianist Elena Kim invite you to faraway worlds of fantasy, romanticism, theatre and of comedy.
In the programme : Gounod's Jewel Song, Massenet's Gavotte, Delibes' Bell Song, Offenbach's Doll Song and other beloved French operas and operetta arias.
"I was captivated by the voice and rendition of Sérine de Labaume, and just as much by her stage presence : she is singer and actress. She knows how to communicate the emotions of her characters with a surprisingly varied vocal register, and often hilarious theatrics. The friends who accompanied me were unanimously amazed.
Too often, voice and piano recitals are formal and purely musical, which I appreciate, and where I can easily fall asleep. Sérine and Elena offer a thorough spectacle in which we don't want to miss a second. Hurry and get your tickets!"
- Guillaume Levy-Lambert, Artologist
