Sam Haven is a composer and musician currently based in Australia. His music is the interpretation of the world around him and an exploration of the deeper and darker emotions experienced in life. Through the use of his guitar, effects pedals and atmospheric vocals, Sam creates moving ambient soundscapes that wash over you and then takes you on a journey into the darkness by combining his influences of Black Metal, Shoegaze and Post-Rock and slowly builds into a dense wall of sound.
LAI YU TONG
Cosmologists is a solo music project by Singaporean artist, Lai Yu Tong. Trained as a visual artist, his practice explores ideas of banality, exhaustion and more recently, velocity. Over the past 2 years he has performed several durational performances exploring exhaustion as a basis for music-making — the longest being a 12-hour solo guitar improvisation set played overnight. Cosmologists has been a safe space for him to feed his interests in ambient music, sampling and instrumental rock.
Semut Semut (Malay for "Ants Ants") is a psychedelic folk electronica duo comprising of Fahruddin Hamid (guitar, electronics) and Joanne Cheah (synthesizer, vocals). They combine hypnotic rhythms with cathartic vocal repetitions to create uplifting dance music.
