Day Out@Esplanade: Sounding out the Arts is a half-day general arts exposure experience conducted in various venues in Esplanade.
Start the day with Serentak Senusantara, by NADI Singapura. Experience the harmony, dynamism and vibrancy of Malay music and rhythm through different percussion instruments from the Malayan Archipelago such as the kompang, rebana, gendang, gong and jidur.
Next up, students will participate in fun music-making workshop by Kulcha. This workshop will teach students how to make a percussion instrument by upcycling old materials. Each student will get to make their own drum, and learn to play them in a fun and interactive play-along segment.
In addition, they can also partake in a self-guided trail around Esplanade, including the exploration of the various visual arts installations in the centre.
