Athma Soul Fest : Earth Edition - Day 1

14 Apr 2018, 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM

Featured Acts

Award-winning Peruvian tribal folk rock outfit AMARU PUMAC KUNTUR will hit Singaporean sunny shores for their first time in 2018 with their RAINBOW SNAKE TOUR. Hailing from the ancient capital of the Incan empire, Cuzco, APK brings earth-shattering energy, celestial ceremony and ecstatic tribal dance music - truly delivering something not yet witnessed in Singapore.

With roots in the shamanic cultures of the Andes and the Amazon, APK is a super-tight 8-piece band that won the hearts, love and appreciation of Peru by winning the nationally-televised talent quest extravaganza, Peru's Got Talent in 2013. The band recently welcomed Aussie medicine woman, Fire Mane, into the band as the voice of Pachamama, Mother Earth. At a time when all tribes must unite, APK brings to Australasia, Andean vibrations and the sharing of messages through the rainbow codes of our race's ascension.

Together with STARLIGHT ALCHEMY, Singapore’s premier Flow Arts collective, whom will be thrilling audiences with luminous dancing lights showcasing custom graphics that would bring to life a creative visual narrative that would be a feast for your sights. This diverse constellation of local and international artists also creates special effects for events, stills and moving images. Individual artists host weekly workshops for acrobatic yoga, movement arts and aerial arts, as well as monthly community gatherings and spin jams.

We also have DEBORAH EMMANUEL, a Singaporean poet, performer, and four-time TEDx speaker. She has featured at festivals like the Makassar International Writers Festival and the Queensland Poetry Festival. Her work has shown in places like New York City, Berlin, Kathmandu, London and Melbourne, and she has toured alongside poets like Sarah Kay and Anthony Anaxagorou.

Deborah’s first collection, When I Giggle In My Sleep, was published by Red Wheelbarrow Books early 2015. Her foray into creative non-fiction, Rebel Rites, launched in 2016. When not making poems, Deborah makes music with Wobology, The Ditha Project, Mantravine and Kiat, performs on stage and screen and facilitates workshops. Her most recent work experiments with moving poetry into the physical body and the practice of intuitive illustration.

Engage your senses, get your body and soul thriving, this night will be nothing short of explosive!
