Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 35

Elgar Enigma Variations

The Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra presents yet another two exquisite works from the world’s famous composers - Tchaikovsky and Elgar. Led under the baton of Maestro Apo Hsu (Taiwan), be dazzled by Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in D Major with soloist Yew Shan. Journey through the tumultuous yet light-hearted concerto as Tchaikovsky wrote this piece right after his disastrous marriage, jotting down his thoughts in every little detail through this powerfully evocative work.  Indulge in Elgar Edward’s Enigma Variations, consisting of ten movements which are quaint and whimsical in nature. Elgar improvised the orchestral work into musical caricatures based on the characteristics of people around him - which includes his family, close friends and musicians.
